^^^Hey, that’s me!^^^

My name is Heather. I am a stay-at-home mom and student. I have the best husband I could ever ask for, two beautiful little girls and a German Shepherd. I have recently completed my bachelor’s degree and I am planning to begin my master’s degree soon! I am a Christian and believe in keeping God first in all that I do. I am probably one of the weirdest people ever and I embrace that about myself. I am an OCD clean freak, and with two children this can be challenging at times, but sometimes I have to simply (as Elsa would put it) LET IT GO and try my best to not let it get to me, because I realize that one day when they are grown and have families of their own, I will miss the messes. I try to slow down and soak it all in while I can.

I don’t know if I would quite qualify as a “minimalist” because I have a weakness when it comes to buying things for my kiddos, so their playroom is as far from minimalist as it gets. However, when it comes to just about everything else I would likely make the cut. We have a philosophy of living simply and not making life about material things. That doesn’t mean we don’t want or have nice things; it just means we focus more on relationships.

We try to make smart decisions financially as well, and have made it to our 6th year of marriage with zero debt. Well, besides our mortgage! (sigh…) But fortunately, our minimalist mindset has led us to a decision about that as well. We have recently sold our 2000+ sqft house and bought a house less than half the size at only 950 sqft! It is a little bit of an older home but it is much better for us location wise because it is less than 10 minutes from the beautiful Emerald Coast and we L.O.V.E. the beach and everything about it! We will be doing many upgrades and I am so excited to share them with you as they happen. I’m sure it will be a slow process (because… money!) but they will be worth the wait.
